£3950, £3850, £3750, £3690, £3450 pounds in compensation that you are due for the accident you had? Beware of this SCAM!
Thousands and thousands of personal injury claim texts are being sent out regularly with text messages saying things like:
“You may be entitled to 6000 pounds compensation for the Accident you had. To claim for free reply with YES to this msg. To opt out text STOP.”
‘Hello, Our records indicate you may be entitled to £3750 for the accident you had. To claim free reply CLAIM to this message.
To opt out text STOP. Thank you”
“FREEMSG: Our records indicate you may be entitled to 3680 pounds for your Accident. To claim for free reply with YES to this msg. To opt out text STOP”
“You have still not claimed the compensation you are due for the accident you had. To claim then pls relpy CLAIM. To opt out text STOP”
The last one is one of many we received ourselves in the picture attached! You see even accident claim companies get accident claim texts too! A word of warning..it is a scam do not reply. When you reply, you will be be paying for the cost of call and bombarded with constant messages resulting in costs to YOU! The message is created in order to get the recipient into this con by suggesting they send a STOP to opt out or reply with CLAIM or YES. Your best course of action with any unsolicited text message is simply to delete it and ignore it.

I never reply to txt’s that I don’t know the sender or wasn’t expecting in the first place. I’ve now deleted them.
Also had a landline call offering just £1700ish (can’t remember exactly how much). They sounded like they knew more about the accident I did have a few years ago (non-fault!). They asked if I had any neck or back pain/discomfort. I stated I didn’t and felt if fraudulent to make a claim. Also questioned them on the txt messages I’ve been receiving – they claimed it wasn’t them and the caller even said they’d received similar messages and hadn’t even had an accident. The caller agreed to take me off the list and I’ve not had another landline call (compensation claim based!) since.
I’ve just phoned my mobile operator (TESCO) and they’ve put a block on marketing txt’s … not sure how they determine genuine ‘statement ready’, ‘bank balance’, ‘dominos pizza offers’ type txt’s from ‘compensation claim scam’ txt’s!

As highlighted in the newspapers yesterday: When these annoying accident claims text offenders come from information provided by(with exception of untraceable scammers) insurance companies, vehicle recovery firms, police officers, vehicle body repair shops or even scrapyards and they sell on your data without your prior informed consent, then potentially is an offence as they are unlawfully processing your data.
Anyone with an insurance policy should simply send their company a DPA Section 11 notice, forbidding them from selling on their personal data to third parties for tele marketing or other purposes.
Then again bewarned if it from random phishing scammers as most marketing texts seem to be, then do as suggested and delete and ignore the damn thing! Text messaging is just the new form of email spam nowadays.

Suspicious because I’ve never had an accident.
I have often received the text with £3750 as the amount I’m ‘due’, however I have tonight received a text from +44 7938 818468 stating a very exact amount which even had pence on the end, and the letters ASAP lol. Did actually have an accident just under 2 years ago which was dealt with by police but no claim was ever made via insurance, so on that note it is quite strange, however receiving this kind of text at midnight does make me question it’s authenticity lol!!! Cruel because £3000+ would come in rather handy in the current economic climate!!!
