Seriously can’t belive our luck. Ian who we dealt with has been so helpful and kind, and although our case was difficult he did not give up in finding us the right solicitor, and more importantly he stayed in touch with us. I really can not rate these high enough. ..

Can I Claim?

Most people seem to be thinking two very common question’s when considering making a claim for compensation and they are “Can I Claim?” and “Can I Get Compensation?”

Find Out Now !

Let’s answer the first question. Can I Claim?

If you are making a UK Personal injury claim for compensation you need to demonstrate that someone was at fault (other than you) for the accident or injury. Someone else’s negligence causing them to be at fault for your accident gives you the right to make an accident compensation claim. Let’s take a car accident as an example. If a speeding car hits you from behind trying to escape a police chase then it’s pretty obvious that the driver of the vehicle that hit you would be at fault for the accident.

However in some other instances for people who have suffered an injury and are considering making a claim, the question of who may be liable can be much less obvious. Let’s say you have been involved in an accident at work. The classic Industrial injury that is becoming very prevalent nowadays is where employees have been exposed to the hidden dangers of asbestos, which cannot always be visible. Let us worry about the complexities of liability if you are unsure. Our expertise in this area of liability may mean you can make a claim.

In terms of time limits for submitting claims; all claims must be made within three years from the date of knowledge of the accident/injury (two years for criminal injury claims). Special rules apply for a child claim, the three year time limit starts after the child’s 18th birthday. So if you have a valid claim, don’t delay submit a claim now for compensation. Our experienced solicitors will handle things and advise if you have a potential claim and if so, what you can claim for.

Can I Get Compensation?

We have partly answered this question above as it boils down to liability and time limits. In terms of compensation, if you have suffered an injury and have a valid claim, you could claim for expenses (out of pocket) and loss of earnings known as Special Damages. You can also get back compensation for all the other losses that you incurred as a result of the injury as well as for the pain and suffering, loss of salary/potential future earnings etc (known as General Damages).  So If you think you have a claim then trust our experienced compensation lawyers to help you. If it’s car accident compensation, compensation for whiplash, a work related claim, a crime related claim, compensation for medical negligence, trips and slips claims or many other types of claims then let us help you get compensation that you deserve!
